Can you change the world?  (and still have fun)?

Hey Fun Friends,

Has there been a time in your life when you were so excited about a big idea or a big dream or a big action, but you stopped yourself from going through with it, as you just thought you couldn’t manage it?
You didn’t think you had enough time.

Or couldn’t possibly with all of your life responsibilities, and the guilt starts seeping in that your big thought is too frivolous.

Or something enjoyable would have to give to make room for it, and you weren’t willing to give it up.

I did too, until I didn’t.

It took me 10 years to get my book written and published.

I had a big career, was raising a couple of kids, marriage, and a big fun social life that I wasn’t willing to scale back.

I never could prioritize the time to write, and I was telling myself the story that it could be a little ridiculous that I actually write a book! Wha the?!

And then I figured it out.

I needed to write in a way that was fun to me.  I needed to be laughing and playing on this journey.

I changed my book from fiction to non-fiction, put myself in front of a roaring fire every Sunday, moving from coffee to wine in my beverage selections.

Started interviewing people at parties and in grocery line-ups.

Voila — I was having a good ole time! Just me and my laptop going woooo hooo.

Thus, Mind Doodles, This is What I Know the book was born and is now selling on Amazon. What a joy ride!

You see, fun fueled me.

In creativity, in motivation and action.

And it is not just me that proves this.
